Fiji's northern Isles, Great Sea Reef

We continue our circumnavigation of Fiji and head into the northern groups of Vanua Levu and Taveuni. A myriad of smaller islands abound, but these two larger ones hold plenty of secrets. Many divers claim the White Wall of Taveuni is the best soft coral dive in the world. Jody and I did it back in 2004. Incredible for sure. Best in the world? Not sure I agree, but certainly not something to miss. It's a huge area, with a ton to offer. Definitely world class diving, wild black sand beaches, amazing flora and fauna in rich jungles, and wind wind wind galore. My eyes are drawn to the NW coast of Vanua Levu and the Great Sea Reef, where I've heard rumors of solid waves and it certainly looks like an amazing archipelago, so if weather permits we'll wrap around Vanua Levu and spend some time up there. You'll hop on board at the marina in Savu Savu and head wherever the itch needs to be scratched!
Getting there: There are a number of ways to get to Fiji. Fiji Airways, Air New Zealand, or United Airlines. International flights arrive into Nadi, on the west coast. Domestic flights up to SavuSavu through Fiji Airways.
